Importing packages from our own private GitHub repo and pulling in packages from pip is fine, but it's not always as seamless as I would like. Also, the packages that are available by default aren't always up-to-date (tiktoken, as an example). It'd be nice if there were some other way to seamlessly specify which packages and which package versions you want included in your app.

I use a combination of SQL and python cells to flexibly generate deep dives and topline metrics dashboards. The scheduling capabilities and SQL writebacks mean that it can even be used as an all-in one analysis pipeline runner.

I am a Data Analyst who also serves as Hex admin/support for the team. Hex makes it easier to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Product, Data, etc). It's like having the best of Streamlit, Jupyter Notebooks, etc. in one easy-to-use platform. I probably use Hex at least once a day because it is so easy to integrate into my workflow.

After joining at my current company I first learned about Hex. I had no idea what it was or why people liked it but within minutes of looking at some previous projects I was instantly a fan. Its very smart and intuitive to use. There was one issue that came up where I had to report a bug in my project and the support team resolved it within 24 hours. Impressive!

The flexibility to easily create ETL processes and stunning visuals without having to install anything, maintain databases, or manage virtual environments and servers. Along with the ability to work for anyone from a serious user of python and SQL to people with no coding experience can all use Hex and benefit from it's ability to explore data.
