What users say about Jamf pricing

Collin

Jamf is more expensive than many other competitors. Many competitors are half the price or less. There is also a decent learning curve. The jumpstart is very expensive, but well worth it.

Thang

Pricing is a major detractor to Jamf Pro. While it is worth the cost of a mature management platform, the competition is providing similar capabilities at a fraction of the price. Training is also needed for the steep learning curve that is Jamf Pro but is worth partaking to learn the principles of MDM and Apple device management.

JAMF Pro’s pricing can sometimes be hard to justify, given the availability of cheaper and even free alternatives. It would be nice to see a JAMF move to a one-price for infinite devices payment structure, like that of a service like Basecamp.

Nothing specific to Jamf, but I always get nervous when renewing a certificate or updating Apple tokens. Only doing it once a year can be stressful. However, support will step me right through it. I believe all MDMs require this. It is expensive, but we are considering switching to Jamf School at a much better price. I do manage some MacOS with JAmf. I have more trouble with that than I do managing iOS.

Adam

Jamf is the ultimate MDM solution for Apple products as they work closely with Apple to develop and test the necessary features for their software. Jamf is also one of the more pricy solutions so make sure you need the level of control Jamf Pro offers and a number of devices and computers to make it worth the price. If you have the need though, absolutely go for Jamf Pro and you won't be disappointed.
